Jesus died for our sins: What does that mean?
What does the Bible say about sin? Did Christ die for my sin? How can I be saved? Here, we will answer this question and many others 🙏🏻.
From the beginning, God created human beings to share their love with them. Adam and Eve were people with a pure and perfect soul (Genesis 2:15) but they had the freedom to make their own decisions and choose their own will 🍎.
"The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it."
Genesis 2:15
When Satan deceives them, they decide to disobey God's will (Genesis 3) and their heart became sinful, passing this nature to all their descendants, with the consequence of their sin 👿.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

1. WHAT IS SIN IN THE BIBLE?
They talk to us about sin, that we are sinners, but...
What does this mean?
It is man’s departure from the will of God, the voluntary transgression by man of divine norms and precepts. It is not limited to bad actions: we are all born sinners because our nature is corrupted, which drives the human heart to rebel against the will of God.
The Word establishes that we are all sinners (Romans 3:23) and therefore are deprived of the glory of God.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
Romans 3:23
The consequence of sin is death 💀, both physical and spiritual (Romans 6:23). God is such a holy and pure being that he has no fellowship with sin.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23
Many will say they harm no one, but that does not exclude them from their sinful nature.

2. HOW DOES THE DEATH OF JESUS SAVE ME?
God declared:
"Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission"
Hebrews 9:22
What does that mean? 🤔
I will explain.
After the flood, God gradually revealed Himself to the people, especially to Abraham, with whom He made a covenant.
Later, through Israel, God proclaims His commandments and laws so that people learn to obey and worship Him. This also included a way to purify people from their sins.
The law of Moses declares that (Exodus 20: 2-17), to forgive sins, a lamb (it had to be perfect and without blemish 🐑) was sacrificed every year. This is what the remission of sin refers to.
The keeping of God's laws sometimes prevented sin from spreading and worsening, although it could not completely redeem Man, because it was an external system, burdened with ceremonies and external rituals that did not completely purify the man's heart from his sin.
"This is an illustration for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices offered were not able to clear the worshiper's conscience. They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings, external regulations applicable until the time of the new order."
Hebrews 9: 9-10
These sacrifices were the foreshadowing of Christ's sacrifice on earth.
"And by that will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."
Hebrews 10:10
To redeem us and prevent us from being condemned to death for breaking God's law, Jesus presented as the last and perfect sacrifice ✝️.
"And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled" you by His death in the body of His flesh, to present you holy, unblameable, and unreproveable before Him"
Colossians 1:22
"knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things, with silver or gold, from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or defect"
1 Peter 1: 18-19
Only Jesus could take the hand of God and man and reconcile them 🤲🏻.
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,"
1 Timothy 2:5
3. HOW DOES GOD FORGIVE MY SINS?
The Word establishes that God erases our rebellions out of self-love and no longer remembers them.
"It is I, I who blot out your transgressions for my own sake, And I will not remember your sins anymore"
Isaiah 43:25
Jesus, by his death, paid for all our sins so that we may receive the salvation of our souls through the grace of God.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith. And this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2: 8-9
He is the way to the Father:
"Jesus said to him: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 14: 6
When we accept Jesus into our hearts, we are purified and forgiven before God, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in our hearts and the communion between God and us is restored through Jesus ❤️.
To be forgiven, you must accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and if you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is by believing in the heart that one attains righteousness, and it is by confessing with the mouth that one attains salvation
Romans 10: 9-10
4. HOW NOT TO SIN?
It is easy to sin, trying to behave in the best way is a daily struggle (Romans 7: 7-25), although we still sin again and again.
How to stop sinning? 🚫
There is no magic formula to give up sin.
The Word urges us to live like Christ and to leave behind our old self (Colossians 3: 1-10).
To do this, we must be firmly established and committed to no longer failing God, to take strategic measures to avoid temptations, and to maintain a life full of prayer and worship with God.
5. THE SINNER'S PRAYER
If you wish to receive the gift of salvation and eternal life from Christ, repeat this prayer with a sincere heart:
"Heavenly Father.
I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that my sin separates me from You.
I deeply repent and confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and that God the Father raised Him from the dead.
I renounce all alliance with the enemy, with darkness, with my own flesh and with myself.
I receive Jesus into my heart and my life and I accept the gift of salvation and eternal life now and forever.
Amen.
6. CONCLUSION
Dans cet article, nous avons compris que nous étions tous par défaut, des pêcheurs, selon la Bible et donc condamnés à mort.
The death of Jesus is what allowed man to be reconciled with God and to gain His grace. Of course, faith remains necessary.
Faith and love are the two great factors that allow us to "gain" the Lord's redemption, but also allow us to follow the right path.
No one can boast of never having sinned, but the man of faith will have the strength to resist sins more easily, thanks to the love he has for the Lord.
Prayer holds an important place in the daily life of a man of faith, the sinner's prayer is a beautiful prayer that you can recite as often as you wish, provided you have faith in it.
