Life is far from a smooth river 🌊

We experience intense joys that carry us away. We meet extraordinary people who literally change the course of our lives. But we also endure heartbreaking and violent separations. We experience pain, injustice, and sadness…

When life becomes dark and the sun no longer seems to want to shine on us; when fate seems to relentlessly strike without any apparent reason, our faith can easily be shaken.

In these moments of deep distress, God's promises are our greatest treasure. They are the lifebuoy we cling to while waiting for better days.

    God always keeps His promises

When we feel like the whole world is conspiring against us, drops in faith can occur. Don't panic: faith is not linear. It is maintained, worked on, and cherished 🙇🏽‍♀️

This lowly world has accustomed us to getting what we want with one click, instantly. We then unconsciously expect everything in our lives to happen with the same speed. And when it doesn't, frustration, disappointment, and a sense of injustice settle in, leading us to think that God has not kept His Word.

But it is the Devil who deceives us, because The Lord always keeps His promises. His timing is simply sometimes different from what we hope for ⏳ Let us keep in mind that in every evil there is a good and that everything happens for a reason, even if we are not able to understand it. With our heads down, we do not have an overview and this material world blinds us and constantly pressures us.

By returning to the Holy Scriptures, we can heal the wounds of our souls by remembering the promises of our Lord. For yes, God works for us even when results are delayed ✝️

    5 powerful promises of God

Here is 5 incredible promises from our Lord to remember when everything goes wrong. God has a plan for each of us, let us meditate on His words and remember that He always keeps His Word and constantly acts for our greatest good.

    • "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14

This verse reminds us of the episode of Moses before the Red Sea, pursued by Pharaoh and his troops. When all seemed lost, the prophet addressed his people in these terms before the sea split in two. Sometimes, the best thing to do is to stay calm and wait with conviction. Too often, we desperately try to regain control without having the slightest idea how to act. We worry, we get agitated, and the situation worsens. Let us not forget, the Lord knows better and nothing is impossible for Him. So, let us detach ourselves from fear and trust our Lord in adversity. Often, it is better to let the storm pass while God acts for us.

    • "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

Worry distances us from God and Jesus. It undermines our faith and makes us sad and bitter. Fear of tomorrow, material and financial concerns weigh more and more on our shoulders every day. It is time to let go and remember this simple truth: God will always provide for us. Let us calm down. He is never deaf to our prayers and cries for help. This precious promise is repeated to us several times in Genesis and Deuteronomy, it is up to us to keep it alive in our hearts. God will never abandon us !

    • "If God is for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31

God is on our side. How could we doubt it when we know that He delivered His Son Christ to death for our own salvation. This verse reminds us how important it is to put into perspective the situation we find ourselves in. However tumultuous it may be! Let us firmly keep in mind that everything that happens to us is actually for our greatest good. The Lord is on our side at all times and He has a plan to prosper each of His Children. Through the Love of God by Jesus Christ, we will always emerge victorious even from the most desperate positions.

    • "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you" Jeremiah 1:5

The Lord knows us. He knew us even before we developed in our mothers' wombs. He created us as we are, sees us, and loves us. Isn’t that the most beautiful promise there is? That of a Confidant who is always listening and accepts us as we are. Before God, we do not need to wear a mask. We can show without shame who we really are. No need to meet society’s expectations, worry about others’ opinions, or fear not being good enough. The Lord knows us better than we know ourselves and His Love is infinite

    • "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for peace and not for disaster, to give you a future and hope" Jeremiah 29:11

It is normal to doubt, to feel angry, and sometimes to feel abandoned 😔 Misfortune acts like a distorting and magnifying mirror on our realities. Sadness, disappointment, anger are feelings so powerful that they eclipse everything in their path. Pain, for its part, whispers to us that it will never pass. It is an illusion. God did not promise us ease but He works only for our greatest good. Even if His plans seem unclear and beyond our understanding. Everything that happens in our lives is a blessing: if it is not an obvious benefit, it is a lesson to help us surpass ourselves and transcend. God sees further and He knows what is best for us. Let us trust Him and go through difficulties without losing sight that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel 🌟

👉🏼 Other powerful Bible verses to meditate on right here.

Believers, let us not blame ourselves for feeling down and discouraged when times are hard. After all, we are only human. God made us this way. He knows that trials and obstacles will sometimes make us ungrateful, lose patience, and question everything. But despite that, His unparalleled Love surrounds and accompanies us. When the future seems dark, let us recall the Holy Scriptures and seek comfort in His words. Why not write down in a notebook the Bible verses that inspire us and give us courage to consult them when morale is at its lowest? Let us cherish the Words of our Lord and never forget that He always keeps His promises.
