How to talk about God to my child: 7 books to help them discover Christ

Sommaire

As a Christian parent, it is not always easy to awaken our children to religion and to the Love of Christ. Sometimes we are too theoretical, too imprecise, or we do not find the right method to effectively capture their attention on a subject that is essential ✝️

It is our duty to pass on the Word of God to our little miracles on legs 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The sooner, of course, the better to anchor the Love of the Lord in their hearts. But then, how and when to talk about the Eternal and Christ to our children?

How to talk about God to my child?

In an ideal world, our child would come home from catechism with stars in their eyes, excited by the fabulous discoveries they made during their religious classes 👼🏽 Unfortunately, reality is often different. It is up to us, parents, to take over and complement the teachings given to our little ones.

Indeed, God has not only appointed us as the physical guardians of our children, but we must also ensure their spiritual education

Yet, in everyday life, we can quickly be overwhelmed by the demands of life on Earth. It is not always easy to talk about our faith with our children.

    So what is the solution?

Well, you just have to bring the Eternal into our daily routine and that of our little ones ✨ Religion should not be reserved for occasional events like Communion or Lent, it should be part of our everyday life. It is the best way to awaken and maintain love for Christ in our respective homes.

One of the simplest and most effective ways is to create a time of devotion with our children, during which we can answer their questions and discuss the different themes that make up the Christian faith

And for that, books are an incredible way to encourage reflection and create discussion. Here is our selection of 7 Christian books to talk about God with our children from the youngest to the oldest 📚
